Basic Cable Channels Missing-Comcast Bay Area?

Hello

Around the time of the DTV transition (but not exactly), I lost channels 38-onward except for 48,and a couple in the 70′s. I tried to autoprogram the TV and it didn’t find anything.
Recently, I now have no channels 35-onward except for 70.

I get service through a cable from the wall. Other TVs in the house work fine. I still have things like the Discovery Channel, so I haven’t lost all of my cable, implying I haven’t been cut off.

I live in San Mateo, cable company is Comcast.

Thanks.

The only thing that’s certain is that the U.S. digital transition that occurred on June 12th did not affect you at all. Comcast customers (in fact, all cable and satellite customers) saw nothing different after the switch, which concerned only over-the-air channels.

Until recently I had the same Comcast Expanded Basic channel package as you (I’m within 75 miles of you), and it included channels 2 thru 99, with a few blank channels. If you’re not getting those, I would try going to the setup menu and rescanning for channels after selecting the cable TV option. Good luck.
